What Is RON?

Remote Online Notarization (RON) is a modern, legally binding notarization performed via live audio-visual communication. Instead of meeting in person, the signer and notary connect through a secure, encrypted video platform — anywhere you have an internet connection.

Indiana authorized RON in 2019. Twania D. Clark, LSA, CAA has been a licensed RON provider since June 2021, operating on MISMO-certified, state-approved platforms to ensure your documents are legally valid and securely executed.

Preparation

What You'll Need

Before your session, make sure you have these two things ready.

Valid Government-Issued Photo ID

A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID is required for identity verification. Acceptable forms include a state-issued driver's license, state ID card, or a current U.S. or foreign passport. The ID must not be expired.

Current U.S. Residential Address

You must have a current U.S. residential street address on file. P.O. Boxes are not accepted for identity verification purposes. This address is used as part of the knowledge-based authentication process.

You'll also need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone (smartphone, tablet, or computer), and your document(s) ready to review. Documents will be uploaded or shared through the RON platform.

Step by Step

How RON Works

Book Your Appointment

Schedule your RON session through TidyCal at tidycal.com/twaniamobilenotary. Select the RON session type and choose a time that works for you. You'll receive a confirmation with all the details and a link to your session platform.

Complete Identity Verification (10–15 Minutes)

Before the live session, you'll complete a two-part ID verification process: upload a photo of your government-issued ID to the secure RON platform, and complete a short knowledge-based authentication (KBA) quiz — a series of personal questions pulled from public records to verify your identity. This typically takes 10–15 minutes.

Join the Live Video Session with Twania

At your scheduled appointment time, join the secure video session. You'll see Twania live on screen, and she will review your documents, confirm your identity, and guide you through the signing process. The entire session is recorded and stored in compliance with Indiana law.

Sign & Notarize Digitally

You'll apply your electronic signature and initials to each required field of the document. Twania will then apply her official digital notary seal and electronic signature. All actions are timestamped and captured in an audit log that accompanies the document.

Receive Your Notarized Documents

Once the session is complete, you'll receive your fully executed, notarized document digitally. The document includes a tamper-evident seal and a complete electronic record. Some platforms also allow physical printing of a certified copy. Documents are typically delivered within minutes.
